This article states that France has recently defended Nascar and its drug policy.  I agree that the drug policy needs to be in effect.  If a driver is messed up on drugs he could put the other drivers in danger.  And also some drivers could be using steroids or other performance enhancing drugs and having and edge on other drivers.
